CTO/Lead Architect for Pensamos Digital, Inc.

Description

Pensamos Digital, Inc. sells licenses for a software package called Magic Mirror Backup which aims to provide a compelling peer to peer backup solution to small businesses and organizations. Using a peer to peer mechanism for backups is less expensive than traditional backup solutions because it does not require additional hardware nor does it require the use of an expensive storage service provider. It also runs unattended on a regular basis thus making it both more convenient than manual backups to tape or CD and more reliable because human intervention is removed as a bottleneck.

I was fully responsible for all aspects of the software which comprises Magic Mirror Backup. I conceived the peer to peer solution, designed the architecture for the system, developed the implementation (which uses Java primarily), tested the software, and packaged the software for distribution. I continue to maintain and revise the software based on customer feedback and based on the long term strategies of Pensamos Digital, Inc.
